AP News Service is once again showing its Republican leanings, by publishing a full spectrum of garbage this morning. First off, is an article written by the notoriously corrupt Nedra Pickler, entitled, "Obama may face grilling on patriotism". This piece of journalistic garbage could easily have been written by almost anyone at the RNC, and perhaps it was...
More after the fold......
Nedra Pickler, to refresh your memories, was one of the reporters who consistently wrote negative stories about John Kerry in 2004, and about nearly every other national Democrat since. She has proven time and again that she is nothing more than a shill for the right-wing. She's AP's own little Judith Miller. Here's some samples from the article (link to follow):
Sen. Barack Obama's refusal to wear an American flag lapel pin along with a photo of him not putting his hand over his heart during the National Anthem led conservatives on Internet and in the media to question his patriotism.

"The reason it hasn't been an issue so far is that we're still in the microcosm of the Democratic primary," said Republican consultant Roger Stone. "Many Americans will find the three things offensive. Barack Obama is out of the McGovern wing of the party, and he is part of the blame America first crowd."
Opponents of Sen. John Kerry proved in the 2004 election that voters are sensitive to suggestions that a candidate is not sufficiently patriotic. The Democratic presidential nominee's campaign was torpedoed by critics of his Vietnam War record called the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, even though he won multiple military honors and was lauded by his superiors.

Yeah, she would know about the Swift Boaters, because Pickler aided and abetted them at every turn. Here' the link to the rest of the article: http://news.yahoo.com/...
Read it and scream, and then maybe write AP and tell them how disgusted you are that they are publishing Repuglian propaganda verbatim, vis a vis Pickler. Here's Pickler's contact info: npickler@ap.org
Then, there the treatment AP is giving McCain this morning. It's like they're trying to bury the scandal over his supposed lobbiest paramour, and trying to move things along in a more positive vein. To wit, from an article just up from AP:
His nomination assured, John McCain got an early jump on the general election this week with a swing through Midwestern states likely to be pivotal in the fall and a fresh line of criticism against Barack Obama.
snip
It was fitting, then, that McCain chose this setting — a state that gave President Bush the 2004 election in a swing-voting region — to step up his rhetoric against the man he considers his most likely opponent this fall.
"I will fight every moment of every day in this campaign to make sure Americans are not deceived by an eloquent but empty call for change," McCain said after winning the Wisconsin primary. It was a thinly veiled suggestion that the Illinois Democrat, who has now won 11 straight primary and caucus contests over Hillary Rodham Clinton, lacks the experience, judgment and character a president needs.
snip
That article (link: http://news.yahoo.com/... ), by AP reporter Liz Sidoti, could have been nothing more than a press release from the McCain campaign. Garbage, but, it is very telling, in that it looks like AP is once again going to tilt the news and treatments towards the Repuglians this election. Pravda lives!!
There's more. To fill out AP's Repuglian/Bush love fest this morning, there's another article just posted from AP about Bush:
Bush chides Democrats over intel bill Terrorists are plotting new attacks against America "at this very moment," Bush said in renewing his call for the House to pass legislation needed to renew the intelligence law that expired last weekend.
snip
I'll spare you the rest, but here's a link to Bush's latest treasonous statements: http://news.yahoo.com/...
I'm not sure what we can do to prevent the "Pravdas" of this nation from continuing with their treasonous propagnda delivery. Yes, Media Matters is usually on top of these biased articles, but the fact of the matter is that these companies continue to publish the lies and propaganda day in, day out.
In my dreams, I see a time when people like Nedra Pickler, Rupert Murdoch, Hannity, and all the rest, would be charged with treason. The 1st Amendment does not cover lies and propaganda, especially when it leads to deaths (Iraq), or the destruction of a nation (ours, and Iraq), and nor should it.
